Share-Based Payment Arrangement [Abstract]
Stock-Based Compensation Plan Stock-Based Compensation PlanWe have in place a long-term incentive plan in which any employee or non-employee director who provides services to us is eligible to participate. The 2018 LTIP, which is overseen by the Compensation Committee of our Board of Directors, provides for the grant of various types of equity awards, of which restricted stock unit awards and performance-based compensation awards have been granted. In May 2022, our shareholders approved an amendment and restatement of the 2018 LTIP, in which the maximum number of shares authorized for issuance under the 2018 LTIP was increased by 150,000 shares to a total of 300,000 shares, and the term of the 2018 LTIP was extended through February 23, 2032. After giving effect to awards granted and forfeitures made under the 2018 LTIP and assuming the potential achievement of the maximum amounts of the performance factors through September 30, 2022, a total of 157,697 shares were available for issuance.
In August 2022, we also granted 30,518 restricted stock units to two employees of an acquired company, outside of the 2018 LTIP, as equity inducement awards under applicable stock exchange listing rules.

Compensation expense recognized in connection with equity-based awards was as follows for the periods indicated (in thousands):
