Item 1.04.    Mine Safety - Reporting of Shutdowns and Patterns of Violations

On October 3, 2013, Coeur Alaska, Inc., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Coeur Mining, Inc. and the operator of the Kensington mine located north of Juneau, Alaska, received an imminent danger order under section 107(a) of the Federal Mine Safety and Health Act of 1977. The order alleged unsafe vehicle maintenance conditions.

The conditions cited in the order referred to above were promptly addressed. The cited conditions did not result in accidents or injury and had no material adverse impact on operations at the Kensington mine.
