Transactions with Affiliated Parties We paid certain officers and directors, or insurance agencies of which they are shareholders, commissions of approximately $5 million in 2012 and $6 in 2011 and 2010, on premium volume of approximately $35 million, $34 million and $36 million for 2012, 2011 and 2010, respectively.
