     On August 31, 2007, Peter Hartl’s employment with ESK Ceramics, Ceradyne, Inc.’s wholly-owned subsidiary located in Kempten, Germany, was terminated effective immediately. Mr. Hartl’s positions as a Vice President of Ceradyne, Inc. and as President of ESK Ceramics were also terminated.
