I Acquisition Corp.’s Current Report on Form 8-K furnished with the SEC on August 11, 2023.
Hi Culés,
I’m Joan Laporta, President of Futbol Club Barcelona.
But we are so much more than a normal club. Futbol Club Barcelona is unique. We stand for inclusion, diversity and social responsibility. Therefore, the Club will continue within its structure of today forever. We will keep the club in the hands of our members.
At the same time, we have to be able to compete in the future in a world which is more digital and global. A world which offers more opportunities and new competitors. We have no alternative than to continue to drive the digital transformation forward to strengthen our position as a leading sports brand in social media worldwide.
To be able to compete in this new environment, we decided to reinforce Barca Media as an independent entity with the objective to create one of the leading sports and entertainment brands of the world which contains our content-, digital- and e-sports-businesses.
As on the field we will perform with Barca Media. You are invited to become a shareholder and to enjoy our performance as you are doing when you are watching the games of our passionate teams like [in] soccer, handball, basketball and so much more.
Thank you for your time and welcome to the Futbol Club Barcelona world.
