Explanatory Note

The Registrant filed a Current Report on Form 8-K on August 12, 2024 (the “Original Form 8-K”) to disclose a press release providing the Registrant's results of operations and financial condition for the three-month period ended June 30, 2024 (the
Press Release"). The Press Release inadvertently ommitted a table disclosing the Registrants Consolidated Statements of Operations and Comprehensive Loss. The Registrant is filing this Form 8-K/A as an amendment (Amendment No. 1) to the Original Form 8-K to provide a corrected copy of the Press Release. No other changes have been made to the Original Form 8-K.

Item 2.02 Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

On August 12, 2024, Getaround, Inc. (the “Company”) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the three-month period ended June 30, 2024. The full text of the press release issued in connection with the announcement is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K.
