Revenue and Deferred Revenue Revenue and Deferred Revenue
Deferred revenue relates to performance obligations for which payments have been received from the customer prior to revenue recognition. Deferred revenue primarily consists of deferred subscription-based services. Deferred revenue also includes amounts allocated to the unspecified upgrades and enhancements and the Company’s cloud-based services. The Company had no material contract assets.

As of December 31, 2022, the aggregate amount of the transaction price allocated to remaining performance obligations was equal to the deferred revenue balance.

The Company’s revenue from contracts with customers disaggregated by major product lines, excluding sales-based taxes, are included in Note 18.
Revenue recognized during the year ended December 31, 2022 related to performance obligations satisfied or partially satisfied in prior periods was $1.7 million.

North America revenue consists of revenues from the United States and Canada. United States represents 95%, 96%, and 98% of North America revenue for the years ended December 31, 2022, 2021, and 2020, respectively.
