Our CEO reasoned that he alone should bear the burden of this cost reduction in order to be able to (i) continuing attract talent for AIR’s long-term success and (ii) avoid any potential impact to morale at AIR from lower compensation. As property values have recovered from COVID’s impact, GAV has increased sufficiently so that the reduction of CEO compensation is not likely to be required in future years.
