Item 8.01. Other Events.
On September 27, 2023, Porch Group, Inc. issued a press release announcing the cash investment of $57 million in its insurance carrier subsidiary, Homeowners of America Insurance Company. As part of this transaction, Porch Group, Inc. receives in return a $49 million interest bearing surplus note as well as acquires all rights to future receivables related to claims against Vesttoo and related parties.
A copy of the press release is filed as Exhibit 99.1 and is incorporated herein by reference.
