Item 8.01 Other Events.
On March 22, 2019, Gores Metropoulos, Inc. (the Company) issued a press release, a copy of which is attached as Exhibit 99.1 to this Current Report on Form 8-K, announcing that the holders of the Companys units (the Units) may elect to separately trade the Class A common stock and warrants included in the Units commencing on March 25, 2019. Those Units not separated will continue to trade on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the symbol GMHIU, and each of the Class A common stock and warrants that are separated will trade on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the symbols GMHI and GMHIW, respectively.

and Warrants Commencing March 25, 2019
LOS ANGELES, CA, March 22, 2019 Gores Metropoulos, Inc. (NASDAQ: GMHIU) (the Company) announced that, commencing March 25, 2019, holders of the units sold in the Companys initial public offering of 40,000,000 units completed on February 5, 2019 may elect to separately trade the shares of Class A common stock and warrants included in the units. Those units not separated will continue to trade on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the symbol GMHIU, and the Class A common stock and warrants that are separated will trade on the NASDAQ Capital Market under the symbols GMHI and GMHIW, respectively.
