12. Income taxes

During the three months ended March 31, 2024 and 2023, the Company recorded a full valuation allowance on federal and state deferred tax assets since there is insufficient evidence that the deferred tax assets are more likely than not realizable. The Company did not have any tax provision or benefit in the three months ended March 31, 2024 and 2023.
