Third Quarter Highlights 3 . Pretax income was $61.7 million; diluted earnings per share were $0.57 – Third quarter results reflect improved Production segment income and strong contributions from all three operating segments – Book value per share increased to $21.47 from $21.19 at June 30, 2018; pro forma for PFSI’s corporate reorganization, book value per share was $20.67(1) . Production segment pretax income was $25.7 million, up 35% from 2Q18 and down 63% from 3Q17 – Total acquisition and origination volume was $17.9 billion in unpaid principal balance (UPB), up 12% from 2Q18 and down 6% from 3Q17 – Total correspondent government and direct lending locks were $11.1 billion in UPB, down 6% from 2Q18 and down 16% from 3Q17 – Correspondent conventional acquisition volume fulfilled for PMT was $7.5 billion in UPB, up 39% from 2Q18; drove an increase in fulfillment fee revenue .
