As a supplement to U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”) financial measures, the Company has provided this non-GAAP financial measure. The Company believes that this non-GAAP financial measure is useful as it excludes the accrual of the capital gain incentive fee under GAAP which is not contractually payable under the terms of the Company’s investment advisory agreement with GC Advisors ( the “Investment Advisory Agreement”). The capital gain incentive fee payable as calculated under the Investment Advisory Agreement for the period ended June 30, 2022 is $0. However, in accordance with GAAP, the Company is required to include aggregate unrealized appreciation on investments in the calculation and accrue a capital gain incentive fee on a quarterly basis as if such unrealized capital appreciation were realized, even though such unrealized capital appreciation is not permitted to be considered in calculating the fee actually payable under the Investment Advisory Agreement. Although this non-GAAP financial measure is intended to enhance investors’ understanding of the Company’s business and performance, this non-GAAP financial measure should not be considered an alternative to GAAP. GBDC 3 Performance Drivers 02

6 Drivers of GBDC 3’s FQ3 2022 Earnings Key Themes from Quarter Ended June 30, 2022 Impact on GBDC 3 See the slide titled “Endnotes - Drivers of GBDC 3’s FQ3 2022 Earnings” at the end of this presentation for footnotes. ■ U.S. equity and credit markets fell meaningfully over the quarter, with the S&P 500 falling by ~16% and the Bloomberg U.S. Aggregate Bond Index falling by ~5% ■ The U.S. economy demonstrated muddling growth in profits and faster growth in revenues based on data across middle market companies in Golub Capital portfolios1 ■ Headline CPI inflation remains high2 ■ Short-term interest rates increased meaningfully ■ Credit spreads widened across virtually all classes of credit, including senior secured floating rate loans3 ■ Middle market deal activity was solid, but slowed over the course of the quarter ■ Continued strong credit performance: 1) Stable internal performance ratings4, 2) Low non- accruals4, and 3) Low net realized losses ■ Well positioned for higher interest rates with ~100% floating rate loan investment portfolio and financial leverage below 1.00x debt-to-equity ■ Increase in net unrealized losses driven by market movements, not by changes in portfolio credit quality5 ■ Solid net originations resulted in healthy portfolio growth
