Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

On April 9, 2019, Bain Capital Specialty Finance, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it will (i) release its financial results for the quarter ended March 31, 2019 on Wednesday, May 8, 2019 after the close of the financial market and (ii) host a call on Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 9:00 a.m. ET to discuss the financial results.  A copy of the press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1.

Bain Capital Specialty Finance, Inc. to Release First Quarter 2019 Earnings on Wednesday, May 8, 2019

BOSTON — April 9, 2019 — Bain Capital Specialty Finance, Inc. (NYSE: BCSF) today announced that it will release its first quarter 2019 financial results after the market closes on Wednesday, May 8, 2019. Management will host a conference call Thursday, May 9, 2019 at 9:00 am ET to discuss the financial results.
