Item 5.02.

Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On October 11, 2019, David Lumpkins informed Westlake Chemical Partners GP LLC (the “General Partner”), the general partner of Westlake Chemical Partners LP (the “Partnership”), of his decision to resign from the Board of Directors of the General Partner in order to focus on PetroLogistics II, LLC, a petrochemical development company of which he is the Chairman and co-founder. PetroLogistics II recently announced plans to build a 500 kta propane dehydrogenation facility on the U.S. gulf coast. Mr. Lumpkins’ resignation will be effective upon the appointment of his successor to the Board of Directors of the General Partner. Mr. Lumpkins is the chairman of the conflicts committee and serves on the audit committee of the Board of Directors of the General Partner. Mr. Lumpkins’ decision to resign was not the result of any disagreement with the General Partner or the Partnership.
