As you may have read this morning, NorthStar Asset Management Group Inc. (NYSE: NSAM), Colony Capital, Inc. (Colony) (NYSE: CLNY) and NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. (NYSE: NRF) announced that they have entered into a definitive merger agreement under which the companies will combine in an all-stock merger of equals transaction to create a world-class, internally-managed, diversified real estate and investment management platform.
The goal behind this merger is to combine the competitive strengths of each company to create a global leader in real estate and investment management.
