At March 31, 2019 and December 31, 2018, approximately $9.4 million and $9.3 million, respectively, of these contract asset amounts are classified as current assets and are included in Prepaid expenses and other current assets in the Company’s Condensed Consolidated Balance Sheets. The remaining amounts are classified as noncurrent and are included in Other assets. The net decrease in contract assets during the three months ended March 31, 2019 was primarily due to reclassifications to accounts receivable following the resolution of certain conditions other than the passage of time affecting the Company’s rights to consideration for the sale of certain goods, partially offset by certain sales activity during the period.

The remaining amounts are classified as noncurrent and are included in Other liabilities. During the three months ended March 31, 2019, the Company entered into new contracts resulting in an increase to contract liabilities of approximately $4.0 million.
