7. PREPAID EXPENSES AND OTHER CURRENT ASSETS

Prepaid expenses and other current assets as of December 31, 2020 and 2019 consisted of the following:

As of December 31, 2019, insurance recoveries above related to insurance proceeds expected to be received from the Company’s insurance carriers related to a legal settlement.
