Subsequent Events	22. Subsequent Events In January 2022, we acquired 100% of the outstanding equity of Solar Innovations LLC, a leading producer of wide-opening exterior door systems and outdoor enclosures, for a total gross purchase price of approximately $63 million. The acquisition cost is further subject to the final post-closing working capital adjustment. We financed the transaction using cash on hand and borrowings under our existing revolving credit facilities. Solar Innovations will be part of Fortune Brands’ Outdoors & Security business segment. Its complementary product offerings will support the segment’s outdoor living strategy.

The entire disclosure for significant events or transactions that occurred after the balance sheet date through the date the financial statements were issued or the date the financial statements were available to be issued. Examples include: the sale of a capital stock issue, purchase of a business, settlement of litigation, catastrophic loss, significant foreign exchange rate changes, loans to insiders or affiliates, and transactions not in the ordinary course of business.
