500.com Limited Affirming Normal Operation of Its Business

SHENZHEN, China, November 8, 2016 - 500.com Limited (NYSE: WBAI) (“500.com” or the “Company”), a leading online sports lottery service provider in China, today made an announcement in reaction to a recent negative trend in the Company’s publicly traded share prices. The Company notes that while there remains no clear indication as to how long the Company’s voluntary temporary suspension of online sports lottery sales services will last, the Company has continued to carry on its businesses, including without limitation, developing and improving its product and service offerings, and to work with the China Sports Lottery Administration Center to develop an online lottery sales management system as part of the pilot program mandated by the Notice on the Commencement of the Pilot Program of Online Sales of Sport Lottery issued by the Ministry of Finance in 2012.
The Company also confirms that after its third quarter 2016 earnings announcement, the Company plans to resume its share purchase program of up to US$30 million announced on February 26, 2015.
