Accounting Policies [Abstract] | |
Summary of Significant Accounting Policies | Summary of Significant Accounting Policies Basis of Presentation and Consolidation The accompanying condensed consolidated financial statements have been prepared in conformity with U.S. generally accepted accounting principles (“GAAP”), consistent in all material respects with those applied in the Company's Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2021, filed with the Securities and Exchange Commission (“SEC”) on March 1, 2022. The Company's condensed consolidated financial statements include its accounts and its wholly owned subsidiaries. All significant intercompany balances and transactions have been eliminated in consolidation. The Company's condensed consolidated financial statements are unaudited but include all adjustments of a normal recurring nature necessary for a fair presentation of its quarterly results. The Company's condensed consolidated financial statements should be read in conjunction with the audited consolidated financial statements and related notes in the Company's Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2021. Certain changes to presentation have been made to conform the prior period presentation to the current period reporting. Such reclassifications did not affect the condensed consolidated balance sheets, total revenues, operating income, or net income. Use of Estimates The preparation of condensed consolidated financial statements in conformity with U.S. GAAP requires management to make estimates, judgements and assumptions that affect the reported amounts of assets and liabilities and disclosure of contingent assets and liabilities at the date of the condensed consolidated financial statements and the reported amounts of revenues and expenses during the reporting period. The Company bases its estimates on historical experience and also on assumptions that it believes are reasonable. Due to the Coronavirus (“COVID-19”) pandemic there has been uncertainty and disruption in the global economy and financial markets. The Company is not aware of any specific event or circumstance that would require an update to its estimates or judgments or a revision of the carrying value of its assets or liabilities as of September 30, 2022. These estimates may change, as new events occur and additional information is obtained, as well as other factors related to COVID-19 that could result in material impacts to the Company's consolidated financial statements in future reporting periods. Significant Accounting Policies There have been no material changes to the Company's significant accounting policies as compared to those described in “Note 2 – Summary of Significant Accounting Policies” of the Company's Annual Report on Form 10-K for the fiscal year ended December 31, 2021. Recently Adopted and Issued Accounting Pronouncements The Company has not adopted any new accounting pronouncements in the three and nine months ended September 30, 2022. Other recently issued accounting pronouncements are not expected to have a material impact on its condensed consolidated financial statements. Concentrations of Credit Risk Financial instruments that potentially subject the Company to significant concentrations of credit risk consist primarily of cash, cash equivalents, marketable securities and accounts receivable. The Company's cash, cash equivalents, and marketable securities primarily consisted of bank deposits, money market funds, investment-grade commercial paper, corporate notes and bonds, U.S. treasury securities, municipal securities, foreign government and supranational securities and asset-backed securities held at major financial institutions. The primary focus of its investment strategy is to preserve capital and meet liquidity requirements. The Company's investment policy limits the amount of credit exposure with any one financial institution or commercial issuer. Concentrations of credit risk with respect to accounts receivable are primarily limited to certain customers to which the Company makes substantial sales. The Company's customer base consists of a large number of geographically dispersed customers diversified across several industries. In the three and nine months ended September 30, 2022 and September 30, 2021, no customer accounted for more than 10% of revenue. As of September 30, 2022, one customer accounted for more than 10% of the total accounts receivable balance.
