Potentially dilutive securities, common stock options, RSUs and SARs have been excluded from the calculation of diluted net loss per share as their effects would be anti-dilutive. For periods in which the Company reports a net loss, the weighted average number of shares outstanding used to calculate both basic and diluted net loss per share were the same except for the three months ended September 30, 2022, as the Company had net income for that period. The shares in the table below were excluded from the calculation of diluted net loss per share, prior to the use of the treasury stock method, due to their anti-dilutive effect:
