Non-real estate property, plant and equipment, net is carried at cost less accumulated depreciation. The Company computes depreciation using the straight-line method over the estimated useful lives of the assets, which range from 5 to 20 years. The Company evaluates its non-real estate property, plant and equipment, net for impairment using the same accounting model that it applies to its real estate assets and related intangibles. See Note 4 for details. The Company did not recognize any impairment charges during the nine months ended September 30, 2021 and 2020.
