Cash collateral pledged	Cash collateral pledged As of June 30, 2012 and December 31, 2011, cash collateral pledged in the amount of $9.3 million and $9.8 million, respectively, primarily relates to (a) a bond held as collateral on a letter of credit and (b) letters of credit issued to the landlord of the Company's premises in New York City (see Note 13). During the second quarter, the Company released $0.5 million to Société Générale, which was included in cash collateral pledged as of December 31, 2011 and was pledged to cover the cost of a litigation matter which is now settled (see Note 13).

The entire disclosure for cash and cash equivalent footnotes, which may include the types of deposits and money market instruments, applicable carrying amounts, restricted amounts and compensating balance arrangements. Cash and equivalents include: (1) currency on hand (2) demand deposits with banks or financial institutions (3) other kinds of accounts that have the general characteristics of demand deposits (4) short-term, highly liquid investments that are both readily convertible to known amounts of cash and so near their maturity that they present insignificant risk of changes in value because of changes in interest rates. Generally, only investments maturing within three months from the date of acquisition qualify.
