Response to inquiry regarding alleged plans by KB Financial Group to acquire Tong Yang Securities

In response to an official inquiry on December 13, 2013 from the Korea Exchange regarding alleged plans by KB Financial Group Inc. (“KB Financial Group”) to acquire Tong Yang Securities Inc. (“Tong Yang Securities”), KB Financial Group disclosed on December 16, 2013 that, while KB Financial Group has continued to consider acquisition of a securities company including Woori Investment & Securities Co., Ltd. and Tong Yang Securities, as part of its business diversification strategy, no specific details have been pursued in connection with an acquisition of Tong Yang Securities as of such date.

KB Financial Group expects to make further disclosures in the event any decisions are made regarding the above.
