KB Financial Group’s consideration

of equity swaps with certain large corporations

On January 10, 2011, KB Financial Group Inc. (“KB Financial Group”) disclosed that it is reviewing various ways to dispose of its common shares held by Kookmin Bank (a wholly-owned subsidiary of KB Financial Group), including by entering into equity swaps with certain large corporations.
