Response to Inquiry relating to Press Reports

In response to an official inquiry from the Korea Exchange on press reports regarding alleged plans for an equity swap between KB Financial Group Inc. (“KB Financial Group”) and Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (“ICBC”), on November 29, 2010, KB Financial Group disclosed that, while it is discussing with ICBC ways in which to expand the scope of their business alliance, it is not pursuing an equity swap between KB Financial Group’s shares held by its subsidiary, Kookmin Bank, and the shares of ICBC.

* This disclosure is publicly filed in response to an official inquiry from the Korea Exchange regarding the above on November 26, 2010.
