Income Taxes	7. Income Taxes The expense from income taxes increased by $7.3 million and $10.5 million in the three and nine months ended September 30, 2017, respectively, as compared to the same period of the prior year. The increase in the three and nine months ended September 30, 2017 was primarily attributable to an increase in foreign tax expense related to changes in our jurisdictional mix of earnings.
