Basis of Presentation [Abstract] | |
Basis of Presentation | Note 1 - Basis of Presentation The accompanying financial information is unaudited and has been prepared from the consolidated financial statements of Sound Financial, Inc. ("we," "us," "our," "Sound Financial," or the "Company") and its wholly owned subsidiary, Sound Community Bank (the "Bank"). These unaudited consolidated financial statements have been prepared in accordance with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States ("GAAP") for interim financial information and in accordance with the instructions to Form 10-Q and Article 10 of Regulation S-X as promulgated by the Securities and Exchange Commision ("SEC"). In the opinion of management, all adjustments (consisting of normal recurring accruals) considered necessary for a fair presentation of the financial position and results of operations for the periods presented have been included. Certain information and disclosures normally included in financial statements prepared in accordance with GAAP have been condensed or omitted pursuant to the rules and regulations of the SEC. These unaudited financial statements should be read in conjunction with the Company's Annual Report on Form 10-K for the year ended December 31, 2011, as filed with the SEC. The results for the interim periods are not necessarily indicative of results for a full year. For further information, refer to the consolidated financial statements and footnotes for the year ended December 31, 2011, included in the Company's Annual Report on Form 10-K. Certain amounts in the prior quarters' financial statements have been reclassified to conform to the current presentation. These classifications do not have an impact on previously reported net income, retained earnings or earnings per share. |
