Organization and Basis of Presentation	1. Organization and Basis of Presentation Evoke Pharma, Inc. (the “Company”) was incorporated in the state of Delaware on January 29, 2007 (inception). The Company is a publicly-held specialty pharmaceutical company focused primarily on the development of drugs to treat gastroenterological disorders and disease. Since its inception, the Company has devoted substantially all of its efforts to product development, raising capital and building infrastructure, and has not realized revenues from its planned principal operations. The Company does not anticipate realizing revenues for the foreseeable future. The Company’s activities are subject to significant risks and uncertainties, including funding its operations beyond the completion of its ongoing Phase 3 clinical trial for EVK-001. In the quarter ended June 30, 2014, the Company early adopted ASU No. 2014-10, Development Stage Entities (Topic 915): Elimination of Certain Financial Reporting Requirements, Including an Amendment to Variable Interest Entities Guidance in Topic 810, Consolidation.
