Dear Mr. President:

I have the pleasure of addressing you, in my capacity as Head of Market Relations of Empresa Distribuidora y Comercializadora Norte S.A. (“EDENOR” or the “Company”) and in compliance with articles 2 and 3 of Chapter XXI of the CNV Regulations, to inform you of the purchase of “Par Notes due 2017”, for a nominal value of US$13,622,000.

The Par Notes were purchased by the Company at market price in separate transactions during this quarter.

Therefore, we inform you that as a result of purchasing the Par Notes and their subsequent transfer to the Company, Edenor has increased its ownership of Class 7 Par Notes due 2017 issued by the Company with a nominal value of US$220,000,000 (the “Notes”) by US$13,622,000, totaling US$65,310,000 of said Notes after the transfer is made.
