Assets and Liabilities Measured at Fair Value on a Recurring Basis

The fair value of cash, accounts receivable, accounts payable and accrued liabilities, to the extent the underlying liability will be settled in cash, approximates the carrying values because of the short-term nature of these instruments.

Cash Equivalents

Cash equivalents primarily consist of money market accounts which are classified as Level 1 assets which the Company measures at fair value on a recurring basis. The Company measures the fair value of cash equivalents using a market approach based on quoted prices in active markets. The Company had $43 million in cash equivalents at June 30, 2024 and $31 million at December 31, 2023.

Debt Obligations

The fair values of the Company's ABL Credit Facility, AR Facility and finance lease liabilities approximated their book values as of June 30, 2024 and December 31, 2023. The fair value of the Company's Notes are estimated based on quoted market rates as well as borrowing rates currently available to the Company for loans with similar terms and average maturities (Level 2 inputs) (in millions).
