Item 8.01 Other Events

On June 21, 2013, Concho Resources Inc. (the “Company”) completed the redemption of all of its outstanding 8.625% Senior Notes due 2017 at a redemption price of 106.516% of the unpaid principal amount plus accrued and unpaid interest through June 20, 2013. The Company funded the redemption with proceeds from a borrowing from the Company’s Amended and Restated Credit Agreement, dated as of July 31, 2008, with the lenders party thereto and JPMorgan Chase Bank, N.A., as administrative agent, as amended.
