Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers

(b)    On February 27, 2019, Blake Chandlee informed the Board of Directors of American Campus Communities, Inc. that he decided to not stand for re-election to the Board of Directors at the annual stockholder meeting to be held on May 1, 2019 in order to focus on other opportunities. The Board is currently contemplating adding an additional director in the future.
