Pixelplus Unleashes Its PO4010 CIF SoC Image Sensor, One of the Industry’s Smallest, to a Tier-One Mobile Phone Manufacturer in Korea

Press Release

SEOUL, South Korea, July 13, 2007 — Pixelplus Co., Ltd. (NASDAQ: PXPL), a fabless semiconductor company in Korea that designs, develops, and markets CMOS image sensors for various consumer electronics applications, today announced that the Company unveiled samples of its enhanced PO4010 CIF ‘System-on-a-Chip’ (“SoC”) image sensor (“PO4010”), one of the industry’s smallest and most compact with an optical size of 1/11 inch, to a tier-one mobile phone manufacturer in Korea.

Pixelplus’ PO4010, which uses 0.13 CMOS process technology and incorporates an on-chip ISP to enhance overall image quality and sensitivity, supports full-motion video capture of thirty frames per second with power consumption of 10.8 mili watts. Moreover, the Company’s PO4010 reduces optical form factor, and also incorporates further advances in various image processing algorithms, including functionalities pertaining to defect correction, lens shading correction, gamma correction, color correction and interpolation, sharpening filter, low pass filter, backlight compensation, auto exposure, auto white balance, windowing, scaling, and 50/60 hertz flicker cancellation.

Pixelplus is currently in the advanced stages of displaying and demonstrating samples of its PO4010 to the first-tier mobile phone manufacturer in Korea, and expects to obtain a design win from this manufacturer in the third quarter of 2007.
