Item 5.02.  Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On October 4, 2016,  William Zisch, the President and Chief Executive Officer, informed Midway Gold Corp. (the “Company”) that he will resign from the Company effective at the close of business on October 27, 2016.  Mr. Zisch’s resignation was not the result of any disagreement with the Company.  The Company would like to thank Mr. Zisch for his leadership and service.

Following the resignation of William Zisch, Daniel Brosious of FTI Consulting has been appointed by the bankruptcy court as the Chief Restructuring Officer and will be taking over the duties of Mr. Zisch.
