On January 3, 2019, Waste Connections, Inc., a corporation organized under the laws of Ontario, Canada (the “Company”), issued a press release announcing the dates for its fourth quarter 2018 earnings release and 2019 outlook, the investor conference call related to the earnings release and outlook, and certain events at which executives of the Company currently plan on presenting during the first quarter of 2019. The press release is attached hereto as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.

WASTE CONNECTIONS ANNOUNCES DATES FOR FOURTH QUARTER 2018

EARNINGS RELEASE AND 2019 OUTLOOK

TORONTO, ONTARIO, January 3, 2019 – Waste Connections, Inc. (TSX/NYSE: WCN) announced that it will report financial results for the fourth quarter of 2018 and outlook for the full year 2019 after the close of the stock market on February 13, 2019. The Company will be hosting an investor conference call related to this release on February 14^th at 8:30 A.M. Eastern Time.

To access the call, listeners should dial 877-256-3271 (within North America) or 212-231-2927 (international) approximately 10 minutes prior to the scheduled start time and ask the operator for the Waste Connections conference call (a passcode is not required).
