Item 5.02 Departure of Directors or Certain Officers; Election of Directors; Appointment of Certain Officers; Compensatory Arrangements of Certain Officers.

On August 17, 2021, Elena Andreadakis, Executive Vice President and Chief Administrative Officer of the Federal Home Loan Bank of San Francisco (the "Bank"), notified the Bank of her decision to retire from the Bank effective January 3, 2022. On August 18, 2021, the Bank announced her retirement.

Also on August 18, 2021, the Bank announced the retirement of Stephen P. Traynor, Executive Vice President and Senior Advisor, effective October 1, 2021, and his position will be eliminated.
