This current report on Form 8-K/A is being filed by Novelis Inc. ("Novelis") pursuant to Instruction 2 to Item 5.02 to amend the Form 8-K filed on August 31, 2006. The original Form 8-K announced the appointment of John D. Watson to the Novelis Board of Directors, but did not disclose the committees on which Mr. Watson would serve because the Board of Directors had not yet made that determination. On September 21, 2006, Mr. Watson was appointed to serve on the Human Resources Committee of the Board of Directors.
