Item 2.02. Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

     On July 30, 2008, Polypore International, Inc. (“Polypore”) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the second quarter ended June 28, 2008. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.

     Polypore will host a conference call to discuss these financial results at 9:00 AM Eastern Time on Thursday, July 31, 2008. By press release dated July 14, 2008, the public was invited to listen to the conference call by live webcast accessed through the Investor Relations area of Polypore’s website at http://investor.polypore.net/. A replay of the call will be available through August 13, 2008, via telephone at 719-457-0820, access number 8294477.
