Item 2.02.      Results of Operations and Financial Condition.

     On August 7, 2007, Polypore International, Inc. (“Polypore”) issued a press release announcing its financial results for the three months ended June 30, 2007. A copy of the press release is furnished as Exhibit 99.1 hereto.

     Polypore will host a conference call to discuss these financial results at 9:00 AM Eastern Time on Wednesday, August 8, 2007. By press release dated July 25, 2007, the public was invited to listen to the conference call by live webcast accessed through the Investor Relations area of Polypore’s website at www.polypore.net.
