Related Party Transactions	NOTE 17. RELATED PARTY TRANSACTIONS Relationships with Orchid At both March 31, 2018 and December 31, 2017, the Company owned 1,520,036 shares of Orchid common stock, representing approximately 2.9% of the outstanding shares. The Company received dividends on this common stock investment of approximately $0.5 million and $0.6 million during the three months ended March 31, 2018 and 2017, respectively. Robert Cauley, the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Company, also serves as Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Orchid, receives compensation from Orchid, and owns shares of common stock of Orchid. In addition, Hunter Haas, the Chief Financial Officer, Chief Investment Officer and Treasurer of the Company, also serves as Chief Financial Officer, Chief Investment Officer and Secretary of Orchid, is a member of Orchid’s Board of Directors, receives compensation from Orchid, and owns shares of common stock of Orchid. Robert J. Dwyer and Frank E. Jaumot, our independent directors, each own shares of common stock of Orchid.
