Item 8.01 Other Events.

FBR Capital Markets Corporation (FBR Capital Markets, Nasdaq: FBCM), a majority-owned subsidiary of Friedman, Billings, Ramsey Group, Inc. announced on September 7, 2007 that management will present at the Lehman Brothers 2007 Financial Services Conference in New York City on September 12, 2007.
