Other Events.

Common Stock Dividend

On October 16, 2018, CIT Group Inc. (“CIT” or the “Company”) issued a press release announcing that the Board of Directors of the Company (the “CIT Board”) declared a quarterly cash dividend in the amount of $0.25 per common share, payable on November 27, 2018 to common shareholders of record at the close of business on November 13, 2018. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.

Preferred Stock Dividend

On October 16, 2018, the Company issued a press release announcing that the CIT Board declared a semi-annual dividend in the amount of $29.00 per share on the Series A preferred stock of the Company, payable on December 17, 2018 to preferred stockholders of record at the close of business on November 30, 2018. A copy of the press release is attached as Exhibit 99.1 and incorporated herein by reference.

CIT Declares Dividends

NEW YORK — Oct. 16, 2018 — CIT Group Inc. (NYSE: CIT) today announced that its board of directors has declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.25 per common share on its outstanding common stock. The common stock dividend is payable on Nov. 27, 2018 to common shareholders of record as of Nov. 13, 2018.

The CIT Board also declared the semi-annual dividend on the Series A preferred stock of $29.00 per share payable on Dec. 17, 2018 to preferred stockholders of record as of Nov. 30, 2018.
