Suspended Wells	Note 8—Suspended Wells The capitalized cost of suspended wells at March 31, 2018, was $861 million, an increase of $8 million from $853 million at year-end 2017. No suspended wells were charged to dry hole expense during the first three months of 2018 relating to exploratory well costs capitalized for a period greater than one year as of December 31, 2017.
