Item 8.01 Other Events.

On December 15, 2005, Arbinet-thexchange, Inc. (the “Company”) filed a patent infringement lawsuit against World-Link Telecom, Inc. (“World-Link”) in the U. S. District Court in the Eastern District of New York, asserting that World-Link has infringed three of its U.S. patents relating to the trading of telecommunications capacity. A copy of the Company’s press release issued on December 19, 2005 announcing the filing of the lawsuit is attached as Exhibit 99.1 hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
