On November 3, 2009, The Phoenix Companies, Inc. issued a press release announcing that it has formed a distribution company subsidiary, Saybrus Partners, Inc. (“Saybrus”) and that Saybrus has entered into an agreement with Edward Jones to provide life insurance consulting services to Edward Jones’ financial advisors.  The release is furnished as Exhibit 99.2 hereto, and is incorporated herein by reference.
