Subsequent Events	Subsequent Events As discussed in Note 2, on January 1, 2013, ProAssurance completed the acquisition of Medmarc through a sponsored demutualization. Funds required for the purchase were transferred to a third party conversion agent on December 27, 2012 and distributed to eligible Medmarc members on January 1, 2013.
