Petrobras informs about reimbursement from partners related to the Tax Transaction notice

 

Rio de Janeiro, July 19, 2024 - Petróleo Brasileiro S.A – Petrobras, following up on the release disclosed on June 17, 2024, informs that obtained the approval of partners in E&P consortiums for reimbursement to Petrobras related to adherence to the PGFN-RFB 6/2024 Transaction Public Notice (tax disputes of significant and widespread legal controversy).

 

As previously reported, several Petrobras partners in E&P consortiums are responsible for approximately 13% of the litigation settlement. To the present date, 11% of this litigation has already been approved by the partners, with a total of approximately R$2.2 billion. This amount represents 84% of the total reimbursement to be received.

 

The payment from the partners to Petrobras will take place under the terms of PGFN-RFB Notice 6/2024.

 

The company will continue to negotiate the conditions with the other consortium members who have not yet approved the reimbursement of the amounts relating to their respective stakes and will keep the market properly informed about the matter.
