Item 8.01 Other Events.

On April 24, 2023, BancPlus Corporation ("the Registrant") issued a press release announcing the Board of Directors of the Registrant declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.45 per share of common stock. The cash dividend will be paid on June 15, 2023, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 15, 2023. The press release is attached to this report at Exhibit 99.1, which is incorporated herein by reference.

BancPlus Corporation Announces Quarterly Cash Dividend

RIDGELAND, Miss. (April 24, 2023) – BancPlus Corporation, the holding company for BankPlus, today announced that on April 18, 2023, its Board of Directors declared a quarterly cash dividend of $0.45 per share of its common stock. The cash dividend is equivalent to an annualized dividend of $1.80 per share. The cash dividend will be paid on June 15, 2023, to shareholders of record as of the close of business on May 15, 2023.
